Less Educating Or More Revenue?

A little while ago, I was given a heads up about a discussion presented earlier today on
C-SPAN2.

Accompanying the URL for the page came this insight by the person who provided me with the information:

"Your points about building the dormitory made me think of you. They said that Higher
education institutions have no one over seeing them and no one is held
accountable when something fails. They also said that tenure should be
abolished...It puts schools into the Dark Ages. And all mistakes are
eventually paid for by the students through tuition."

Here is the link to the C-SPAN page and it is followed with a link to the actual video of the 1.25-hour discussion.

I haven't taken the time to watch the entire video but I expect to do so later this evening.

So much of Marymount's campaign seems focused on community benefits that few folks have used in the history of the College and there doesn't seem to be all that much about the potential for academic excellence Marymount students should receive with their tuition and schooling.

If we are all going to be asked to provide better educational advantages to mostly out of local area, out of State, and out of Country young people, shouldn't we at least get some king of promise that what we will have to put up with eventually leads to great scholars, artists, and citizens graduating from Marymount College?

We have not seen much if that, truly in the past, so how can we expect that in the future?

Please vote "No" on Measure P, The Marymount Plan.

Safety. Everyone. Everywhere. Every hour.
